Welcome back to Playlist Postscript! This month we continue our return to “the last good year” of 2019 to contemplate what I listened to six Februarys ago. I joke about the last good year thing, but my life was in a very good place in February 2019. I had a reliable job that I still enjoyed, had just come off a fulfilling tour, was a music critic free agent after leaving Invisible Oranges, and was a month away from the release of Sisyphean. Wow, that sure feels like a long time ago now!

As you may have read last Friday, I switched streaming services from Spotify to Apple Music. However, since I’m a dedicated Music League player my Spotify account still exists in a non-paying capacity. That means that this month’s playlist is available on both Spotify and Apple Music. As always the songs that hold up best in the present day will receive the coveted Lamniformes Shark Emoji of Approval (🦈) while the songs that will appear in Drumming Upstream will be marked by the Drum Emoji of Destiny (🥁).
