"Crabitalism"

Welcome to Playlist Postscript. Every month I revisit an old playlist of mine and provide my present day thoughts on my past selections.

I spent much of July 2020 listening to fireworks all day every day, but in between bursts I found time to listen to music as well. I began the month dog-sitting in Park Slope. My Pynchon-mania kicked into high gear as I acquired as many of his novels as the local bookstore carried. I watched Watchmen the TV show. I turned 30, though spiritually I’d turned 30 back in March.

As always, I’ve marked the songs that hold up best with The Lamniformes Shark Emoji of Approval (🦈). Songs that will eventually factor into Drumming Upstream will bear The Drum Emoji of Destiny (🥁). ~*My Fiancée*~ has also marked her favorite songs from the playlist with The Cherry Blossom Emoji of Excellence (🌸).
