Welcome back to Playlist Postscript! In this series I revisit old playlists of mine and supply annotations on each tune. The songs that hold up best receive the coveted Lamniformes Shark Emoji of Approval (🦈). Songs that eventually factor into Drumming Upstream will be marked with The Drum Emoji of Destiny (🥁).

This month we return to 2019 for the final time for a short 15 track playlist featuring some burning jazz tunes, memorable lyrics, and a whole bunch of BIG BEAT. I love BIG BEAT. I wanted BIG BEAT to come back so bad in 2019. Other than the disappointment of living in a BIG BEAT-less future, May 2019 was not a particularly dramatic month for me. I went to work, I watched the NBA playoffs, I hung out with my friends. That might not be the most exciting pitch for this playlist, but doesn’t something *not* exciting sound just a little be refreshing these days? Find out below!
