2013 Ian picks his favs, and we judge him accordingly
Last week we reviewed a playlist of the best songs of 2012 as selected by a 22 y/o Ian. This week we jump ahead to look the best songs of 2013 as selected by an Ian one year older and marginally wiser. 2013 was a good year for me. I was still writing for Wine & Pop. I was an intern at the Music Garage, a rehearsal space in Chicago, and I was picking up some part time shifts at City Winery Chicago. I was drumming for Sharpless, playing live shows with the hardcore punk version of Lamniformes, filling in for Bellows, and even earning my first real deal musical theater gigs. But was 2013 a good year for music? Let’s find out below! As always, the tracks that hold up the best will earn the coveted Lamniformes Shark Emoji of Approval (🦈).
